Basic Information
What is the difference between real human hair and synthetic hair?
Hair Texture Comparison
- When comparing the texture of real human hair and synthetic hair, you'll notice some distinct differences. Human hair has a smooth, soft, and natural feel that mimics your own hair, and it behaves much like your natural strands when brushed or styled. Synthetic hair, on the other hand, may feel more coarse or stiff. It lacks the natural movement of real hair and may not blend seamlessly with your own hair. Additionally, human hair is more versatile and can be styled with heat tools, while synthetic hair tends to maintain a fixed shape and can become damaged by heat.
Burn Test for Smell and Ashes
- To gently check the authenticity of the hair, you can perform a simple burn test. Take a small strand of hair and carefully burn it. If it’s real human hair, you’ll notice it smells like a barbecue, and the ashes can be easily crumbled into powder. On the other hand, if it’s synthetic hair, it will give off a plastic-like odor, and the ashes will remain in a solid clump. This test is a great way to ensure the quality of your wig while being mindful of your safety.
Price Consideration
- Price can be a good indicator of hair quality. Human hair wigs are generally more expensive than synthetic ones, especially when it comes to the same style and length. If you find a human hair wig that’s surprisingly cheap, it might be worth considering whether it has synthetic fibers blended in, or if the hair used was of lower quality. It’s important to invest in quality that will not only look great but also feel comfortable and last longer.
Heat Resistance
- Another helpful way to distinguish between real and synthetic hair is by testing its heat resistance. With a flat iron, gently heat a small strand of the hair to around 220 degrees Celsius. Real human hair will hold up well under heat and won’t become sticky or melt. If it’s synthetic hair, it may not withstand the heat and could lose its shape. This test helps ensure you can style your hair with confidence, knowing you’re getting the quality you deserve.
What is the difference between a wig and a hair topper?
If you're experiencing thinning hair or preparing for hair loss due to chemotherapy, choosing the right hair product can feel overwhelming, especially for first-time buyers. One of the key decisions you’ll need to make is whether to go for a full wig or a hair topper.
Wigs offer full head coverage, completely replacing your natural hair, while hair toppers focus on specific areas of the scalp that may need more coverage. Hair toppers are typically clipped into your existing hair, while wigs are secured with a wig cap or a grip. Both options come in a variety of colors and styles and can be crafted from either synthetic or human hair, giving you flexibility in both appearance and comfort.
This comparison will help guide you in selecting the most suitable option for your needs, whether you're looking for full coverage or a more subtle, targeted solution.
What is the difference between hair extensions and hair toppers?
Toppers and extensions are fantastic options for those just beginning to experience hair loss, offering an easy way to add volume and fullness to your hair.
Extensions are best for individuals with overall hair thinning, as they add volume all around. They’re typically clipped underneath a top layer of hair, seamlessly blending in to create a fuller look.
On the other hand, hair toppers, sometimes referred to as “half wigs” or “top pieces,” are designed to sit on top of your head, blending with your natural hair beneath. While toppers come in various sizes and styles, they typically focus on covering the crown or part of the scalp, giving a targeted lift and coverage where you need it most.
What is the difference between virgin remy human hair and remy human hair?
Our human hair products are made from 100% genuine human hair. Human hair offers unmatched versatility, allowing you to style it just like your own hair while maintaining a completely natural look.
Virgin hair is considered the highest quality, as it has never been chemically treated. This makes it superior to Remy hair. Virgin hair is sourced from a single donor, with all strands facing the same direction and maintaining intact cuticles, ensuring a completely natural, healthy, and beautiful appearance.
Remy hair, also of high quality, comes from a single donor, with cuticles intact and all strands flowing in the same direction. The consistent length of the strands makes Remy hair popular for its combination of superior quality and reasonable pricing. It provides a luxurious feel and natural look, while still being more affordable than virgin hair.

What is a wigs?
A wig is a headpiece crafted from either human hair or synthetic fibers. People wear wigs to conceal hair loss, baldness, or to change their hairstyle and color. What is the size of the wig?
Our wigs are all one size which can fit a 22" head size, and there are hooks inside the wig to adjust its size. However, please note that everyone's head size and neck length are different and these factors could make the length of the wig vary from the length of the wig shown in the pictures.
How do I measure my head size?
With a measure tape, begin at the front of your hairline and wrap the tape behind your ear to the nape of your neck around to your other ear until the tape meets again at the front of your hairline. The comfortable elastic/cloth material is stretchable and can fit most head sizes.
(1) Most wigs have adjustable tabs at the neck to adjust the cap up to 1" for acomfortable and secure fit.
(2) For centimeters to inches conversion: 53.5 centimeters is equal to 21 inches,56 centimeters is equal to 22 inches, and 58.5 centimeters is equal to 23 inches.

- Put the wig into the water for one minute and wash it gently.

Synthetic Wigs
What are synthetic wigs?
Synthetic wigs are crafted from man-made fibers that are more durable than natural human hair, offering a realistic look and feel through advanced technology.
Pros of Synthetic Wigs:
- Wide Color Range: Synthetic wigs come in an extensive range of colors, from bold, vibrant hues to natural balayage shades. You can even find colors that human hair can’t achieve, such as pure white (which naturally occurs only in some biological cases). Additionally, synthetic hair will always retain its warm undertones, unlike human hair.
- Affordability: Synthetic wigs are a cost-effective option, making it an easy way to change your hairstyle or hair color without a significant investment.
- Low Maintenance: These wigs require minimal upkeep. They retain their style regardless of weather conditions and won’t become frizzy or limp in rain.
- Strong Style Memory: Synthetic wigs hold their shape perfectly, so after washing, drying, and a quick brush, they will return to their original style with minimal effort.
Cons of Synthetic Wigs:
- Shine: Some synthetic wigs may exhibit an unnatural shine. This can be reduced by applying dry shampoo or baby powder to tone down the glossy appearance.
- Shorter Lifespan: Synthetic wigs typically last around 6 months with daily wear, though they can last up to 10 months with proper care. They don't have the same longevity as human hair wigs.
- Cannot Be Colored: While it's possible to dye synthetic wigs, it is not recommended. Traditional hair dye doesn't adhere to synthetic fibers properly and could permanently damage the wig if not done correctly.
Synthetic wigs are a practical and stylish choice for those seeking variety, affordability, and convenience, though it’s important to weigh the trade-offs, such as limited longevity and colorability.
How long do synthetic wigs last?

How does an adjustable strap work?
Adjustable straps are located inside the wig, at the back of the wig cap. These straps are designed to adjust the circumference of the wig for a secure and comfortable fit. Made of elastic, the straps feature two hooks that attach to different loops inside the cap, allowing you to customize the fit as needed.
What are lace front wigs?
Lace Front Wigs are either fully or partially handmade, with each strand of hair meticulously hand-tied into a thin, clear lace material at the front hairline. This technique creates an undetectable hairline, giving the illusion that the hair is growing directly from the scalp.
These wigs typically come with a few extra inches of lace extending over the forehead, which should be trimmed to achieve the most natural appearance.
How to trim the front lace on a synthetic lace front wig
Use a white eyeliner pencil to mark the desired lace cutting line while the wig is on your head. Check in the mirror to ensure you’re satisfied with the placement.
Next, remove the wig, turn it inside out, and carefully trim the lace along the marked line using sharp scissors. Make sure to align the blades properly as you cut to achieve a natural, jagged edge.
Finally, try the wig on again to assess the fit. If needed, repeat the process to make any additional adjustments to the lace for a perfect, seamless look.
How to secure a wig?
Wig cap
Using a wig cap is one of the most popular methods to secure a wig, and it works whether you have natural hair or not. It helps keep your wig in place and ensures your own hair stays tucked in and secure. Plus, wig caps are great for keeping your wig clean by providing an extra layer of protection between your hair and the wig.
Side Combs
Wigs with side combs can be used to secure the wig in place, and if your wig doesn’t have them, you can easily sew extra combs onto the cap for added security.
Skin-friendly double-sided tape
Skin-friendly double-sided tape is ideal for areas with no hair, such as along the front hairline. If you notice your wig shifting, simply apply the tape to secure it in place. The best part is that you can easily cut the tape to your desired length for a custom fit.
Skin-friendly Glue
Skin-friendly glue is another popular method for securing wigs. Many wig tutorials on YouTube show women using glue, particularly those who need long-lasting hold for extended wear.
How can I untangle my wig?
It is normal for long hair wigs to get tangled up. When that happens, you may use a large tooth comb to work on the fiber from the lower part first, then bit by bit move it towards the root. Please remember not to comb the hair from the root to the tips in a stroke or back comb the hair.

Can I straighten or curl a synthetic wig?
Our heat-friendly or heat -resistant fiber can be styled suing a low/medium heat setting and can be curled, straightened, blow dried to achieve a different hairstyle. Heat-friendly or heat -resistant straight wigs can withstand heat up to 150 °C.
Can a synthetic wig be colored?
While it’s technically possible to color synthetic wigs, we strongly advise against it. Traditional hair dye may not properly adhere to synthetic fibers and could cause permanent damage if not applied correctly. It’s best to stick to the wig's original color to maintain its quality and appearance.
Hair Extensions
What is the hair extensions?
Suitable for all hair types
Hair extensions can be customized to suit any hair type, texture, and length. This makes them a versatile option for those who want to add volume or length to their hair. You may even add new different color and blend it with your own hair.

No maintenance required
Hair extensions do not require any special maintenance or styling products, making them a low-maintenance option for those who want to save time and money. They can be washed, air-dried, and styled easily.
How Long do hair extensions last?
The lifespan of hair extensions depends on the quality of the hair, how well they are maintained, and how frequently they are worn. With proper care and regular use, human hair extensions can last a year or more, while synthetic fiber extensions typically last between 4 to 6 months.
Can hair extensions cause damage to your natural hair?
Hair extensions themselves won't damage your natural hair. Clip-in extensions, for example, are gently attached with clips, much like regular hair accessories, so they won't harm your hair when used properly.
How to select the perfect color for hair extensions?
Match to Your Natural Color
- The best way to ensure a seamless blend is to choose extensions that closely match your natural hair color. Consider the shade of your roots and the ends, as they may differ.
Consider Highlights or Lowlights
- If you have highlights, balayage, or other color variations in your natural hair, look for extensions that mimic these tones for a more realistic blend.
How do you style hair extensions?
All human hair extensions can be styled with heat tools, allowing you to curl, straighten, or blow-dry them as desired. You can also create a variety of styles, including updos, braids, and ponytails! The styling possibilities are endless, giving you the freedom to customize your look however you like.
